PROTRACTED WAITING TIMES FOR ROUTINE GP APPOINTMENTS

Due to unprecedented demand for appointments, the current waiting time for a non-urgent appointment is 6 weeks.
If you require an emergency on the day appointment, please ring the Surgery at 8:30am Monday to Friday. 
We ask for your understanding and to please bear with us during this extremely busy time.
Alternatively, for non-urgent issues, please consider speaking to the Community Pharmacy, as they can help with the following ailments:
Uncomplicated UTI - Women 16 - 64 years
Shingles - 18 years and over
Impetigo - 1 year and over
Infected insect bites - 1 year and over
Sinusitis - 12 years and over
Sore Throat - 5 years and over
Acute otitis Media (Ear Infections) - 1 - 17 years
Bites and Stings - 1 year and over
Colds - 1 year and over
Conjunctivitis - 1 year and over
Constipation/Diarrhea (if severe and ongoing for more than 6 weeks see GP) - 1 year and over
Hay fever - 1 year and over
Cystitis/Thrush - 1 year and over

AVAILABILITY OF TIRZEPATIDE (MOUNJARO) WITHIN GP PRACTICES

Reports in the media are stating that patients who have a BMI of at least 40 and are living with four or more obesity-related conditions should be able to access Tirzepatide (Mounjaro ®) in a primary care setting. Contrary to these reports, there is currently no mechanism for GPs at the Practice to prescribe weight loss medications such as Mounjaro, with the exception of diabetic patients as has been the case for a number of years.   

Patients are asked not to contact their GP practice with requests for weight loss treatment at this time. We will provide an update once further information becomes available to us.
